Expert Construction Dispute Resolution

Providing trusted arbitration, mediation, neutral evaluation, and dispute review board services tailored for the construction industry and for businesses.

Arbitration

Efficient, impartial binding arbitration solutions to resolve construction disputes with professionalism and confidentiality, reducing the delays and costs associated with litigation. Arbitration services can be through the American Arbitration Association (for which Mr. Dillon is a member of the national roster of construction arbitrators), or on an ad hoc basis.

Mediation

Impartially facilitating constructive dialogue and negotiation to resolve construction disputes amicably and assisting with preserving professional relationships.

Dispute Review Board (DRB)

A proactive DRB helps identify and avoid conflicts early – during the construction project’s performance, fostering collaboration and reducing project risks.

If disputes cannot be avoided, the DRB is available to hear the parties’ positions impartially, through informal or formal processes, and to provide a recommendation for how the dispute would be resolved under the contract. Feedback on the parties’ positions that is based on decades of industry experience provides exceptional, cost-effective insight for the parties, enabling them to make informed business decisions and reduce litigation risks by resolving the dispute.

Neutral Evaluation

Objective and impartial neutral evaluation services assess the merits of construction disputes and guide parties toward fair settlements, without the high costs of litigation. Though the neutral evaluation process is typically non-binding, it can be customized for the parties’ needs, focusing on cost-effective means for reaching a recommendation, based on decades of industry experience, assessing how the dispute would be resolved under the contract and applicable law. Neutral evaluation is a growing segment of ADR that has proven effective for resolving disputes fairly and efficiently.
